Scope of Experience

Dan Avnery is a Principal and President of NAI Robert Lynn's Dallas Retail Division. His primary responsibilities are to manage and develop the talented brokers in the Dallas Retail Division, obtain new landlord and tenant accounts, and, most importantly, make sure all clients are receiving first class service.

Background & Experience

Dan has been the Top Producer for NAI's Retail Division in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021.  Additionally, he has been recognized as a D CEO Power Broker and a Power Broker by CoStar over 20 times, which is awarded to the industry's Top 20 agents. He has spoken at numerous large events, including multiple ICSC conferences and The University of Texas at Dallas, and has been quoted in many publications, including Forbes and Dallas Business Journal.

Dan founded a boutique brokerage company, Retail Realty, in 2009 that focused on leasing and managing shopping centers, growing it to a 6-person company by the time he sold and merged it with NAI Robert Lynn in 2013. He decided to affiliate his team with a company that offered a stronger platform with national and global reach. Dan grew his team quickly while at NAI Robert Lynn and was instrumental in building the Retail Division to be the clear market share leader in the number of retail property listings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with over 500 retail property listings.  Dan is especially proud of the way he and his team have been able to retain clients for many years after those clients make the switch to trusting Dan’s team with their properties.

Dan has numerous years of experience in project leasing, tenant representation, investment sales, and property management. Dan was born and raised in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano West Senior High School. Afterwards, Dan graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Real Estate Finance and Business Honors. Dan then returned back to the Dallas area to begin his career in leasing shopping centers.
