Dr. Peter Linneman writes the Linneman Letter, a real estate research bulletin for NAI Robert Lynn and our clients. Dr. Linneman, Principal of Linneman Associates, has provided strategic and financial advice to leading corporations for over 30 years. His ongoing work in this area includes M&A analysis, market studies and feasibility analyses to many leading US and international corporations. In addition, Linneman serves as an advisor and board member for several public and private firms.

Dr. Linneman is the author of Real Estate Finance and Investments: Risks and Opportunities, a leading real estate finance textbook, which is now in its fourth edition. Linneman’s research and teaching focuses on real estate and investment strategies, mergers, acquisitions, and international markets. Widely recognized as one of the leading strategic thinkers in real estate, Dr. Linneman was named among the “30 Most Influential People in Real Estate” by Commercial Property Executive in 2013 and named one of the “100 Most Powerful People in New York Real Estate” by the New York Observer.

Dr. Linneman is the Albert Sussman Emeritus Professor of Real Estate, Finance, and Business Public Policy at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the faculty there for 32 years, founding Wharton’s Real Estate Department and the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center. He is the founding co-editor of The Wharton Real Estate Review and has published over 100 articles during his career.

Dr. Linneman holds both master’s and doctorate degrees in economics from the University of Chicago.
