“We know several tenants that are looking for less density further north and in the suburbs. In these areas they can find more parking (and) larger floor plans that are easier to plan for social distancing. (Plus) a lot of these buildings aren’t as tall as those in the urban core, which could be a benefit if employees don’t want to take the elevator,” said Nick Lee, executive vice president and principal of NAI Robert Lynn.
Many companies will still have a need to be closer to the urban core, like law firms that want to be in close proximity to courthouses. Another factor involves where employees want to work.
